Before you can buy or hold GEM DiCom, we need to verify your identity — a process called KYC (Know Your Customer). This is required by regulations to prevent fraud and ensure that all GEMtrust users are real individuals. It also protects you by securing your account.
The process is quick and fully digital — it usually takes less than 30 seconds.If you see the KYC Status in red on the left column, you need to complete verification before buying GEM DiCom.
To do so, prepare your ID document (passport, ID card, etc.) and click “Verify.” You can also click on “Profile” ① and scroll down to the ID verification section and click here on ② “Complete Verification”.
Then follow the steps.
You will need to:
- Take a photo of your ID document
- Take a selfie of yourself
- Complete a liveness test — this usually means rolling your head or moving it left and right as instructed.
The ID verification app (our official partner) will guide you through each step. Once the verification is complete, reload the page – your KYC Status should now appear green.
If you have successfully verified your identity, you’re ready to go deeper — and even buy GEM DiCom. To do so, you need a digital wallet.
If you already know what a wallet is and have used one before (for example, to buy Bitcoin or another token), you can skip ahead to chapter 6 or 7.
